UAct: The voice of transparent and democratic reconstruction

The war in Ukraine has caused significant destruction, which requires urgent and effective measures to restore the country. The project “UAct: A Voice for Transparent and Democratic Reconstruction was created to ensure transparency, accountability of the government and active involvement of citizens in the reconstruction and development processes at the local and regional levels.

Project objective

The project is aimed at creating an open electronic platform for public participation in the recovery process, strengthening the networking of civil society organisations (CSOs), and raising awareness of citizens about the tools available to participate in these processes.

Project objectives

  • Ensure the functioning of an electronic platform for interaction between citizens, CSOs and local authorities to take into account the real needs of communities and minimise the risks of inefficient use of resources.
  • Strengthening cooperation between CSOs and local authorities to integrate the e-platform into the activities of local authorities and institutionalise public participation processes.
  • Raising public awareness of existing opportunities for participation in the recovery process.
  • Establishing interaction between the public sector and local authorities to engage the community in reconstruction at the local and regional levels.

The project envisages the creation of a digital platform #eIDEA, which will become a key tool for effective interaction between citizens, CSOs and the government. This platform will be integrated into the national DREAM recovery management ecosystem, serving as an effective means of public control and participation.
