For effective, transparent recovery and sustainable development of communities in today’s environment, it is important to use participatory democracy tools, including e-democracy. This allows the community, residents and IDPs to be involved in the development of local recovery strategies, programmes and projects.
Despite the ongoing full-scale war, e-democracy continues to develop in Ukraine. This process is critically important, as trust and a well-established dialogue between the government and the public are the basis for successful recovery and development.
The project “Strengthening Democratic Processes in Territorial Communities ” was implemented by the Centre for Innovations Development with the support of the USAID Democratic Governance in Eastern Ukraine Activity.
Project objective: To modernise participatory democracy tools, including e-democracy, for effective and transparent local recovery and sustainable community development.
All project activities involve the broad involvement of the public and local authorities, and their interaction to modernise e-democracy tools and make transparent, effective decisions.
